The 1-acre pond at Crozet Park is located in the southwest corner of the property. The pond is spring-fed and stocked with sunfish, channel catfish, and largemouth bass. Fishing requires a Virginia State Fishing License. The pond is a quiet spot in the Park; the grounds that surround the pond offer beautiful views of the Blue Ridge Mountains and make it an ideal spot to spend time in the outdoors and relax. Even though the pond is 3/4 mile from Downtown Crozet, blue herons, bluebirds, woodpeckers, hawks, and other wildlife often frequent the pond. In 2020, a pond study will be conducted to assess the dam and evaluate the health of the pond eco-system. After the study, repairs may require periodic pond closures. Signs will be posted as more information is available regarding possible closure.
